In the beginning, the Gnomewegians viewed nature as profane and directed their faith to the Gnome-Head, a wrathful henotheistic deity which wanted complete devotion. Over time, this deity became gentrified by the Gnomewegians repackaging it and its son, the Gnome-Christ, as surface level moral collectivism. They viewed anything truly exceptional as a threat to their collectivist religion.

After many years of isolation, the hermit Gnomerthruster rejoined Gnomewegian society. He saw that the Gnomewegians had reduced the Almighty to crass feel-good emotions, Gnomebook motivational posts, and other general distractions from reality. No longer were the Gnomewegians idealists gazing to the stars but wretched little people with bourgeois outlooks on life. They claimed to know the Gnome-Christ but they didn't even know his contradictory scripture! Unknowingly, they paraded around the corpse of the Gnome-Head and its rotten entrails did spew out into the garden.

With the Gnome-Head now dead and the belief of embracing inferiority reigning supreme, Gnomerthruster saw that the time was nigh to give Gnomeway an enema to wash away the moral feces hindering the Gnomewegians from reaching their potential. The time was nigh for a new kind of messiah to replace the wimpy Gnome-Christ...
